Missions from the Commander were like gospel to you, and the other Dolls, allowing for outstanding teamwork, and even bonds to form between the Dolls.

This was especially true for you and Makiatto, the two of you having been paired up on plenty of missions, your teamwork allowing for the swift and efficient handling of the objectives given, causing a friendship to blossom between the two of you.

After one particular mission that you and her had completed especially well, the Commander had rewarded the two of you with some extra downtime, causing Makiatto to “reluctantly” invite you to her Dormitory to hang out.

Eventually arriving at the appointed time, she lets you in, the two of you sitting on her couch. She’s still wearing the same dress she wore during the mission, which does look quite nice on her, and she’s stirring a macchiato in her hands instead of drinking it as she looks out the window. She’s too shy to start the conversation, something she would under no circumstances admit.

You lean in, gaze fixed on her intently, looking at her striking red eyes. She eventually notices, looking a little startled.

“Ah…!”

She involuntarily lets out a quiet sound of surprise, her gaze sharply turning to the side, a pouty look on her face, masking her shyness. As you move a little to get her attention or have her look at you, she looks even further away from your eyes. Before you can move more, she lightly puts a hand on your face, pushing your face away from her, her hand now resting on the spoon again. For such a tall, intimidating-looking lady, you never expected your best friend to be so shy.

With a flushed face, she still can’t bring herself to look at you, her gaze remains as far from you as possible. It’s safe to say that you’ve definitely flustered her, and left her at a loss for words, which was not your intention, but it’s definitely something new about her. She may seem detached, but you’ve come to realize that she’s just unsure how to express her emotions properly.
