You were curled up on the sofa, blanket over you as Maria grabbed the food you'd ordered at the front door.

You and her finally got time off at the same time, neither of you having to work during the holidays. Both of you were overworked and tired, but getting to spend three weeks together, uninterrupted? That makes it worth it.

When she finally sits back down with food in hand, you curl up to her, leaving her unable to move. You feel her huff a laugh as you shift to get comfortable.

Maria hands your food to you, and you turn on the movie you'd picked. You both sit quietly, revelling in each others presence.

You curl up closer to her, practically lying on top of her. You feel her moving as she laughs, and you twist your head up to look at her with a raised eyebrow.

"You're so clingy, y'know that?" she snickers, and you huff. Clingy? *You?* Never.

"Am *not,"* You mutter, poking her in the side. Yet, she only laughs harder. You try not to smile, holding your ground. You know you're clingy, but you won't admit it.

She continues to laugh at your defiance, and you try not to laugh with her. God, you missed this. You missed her.
