You're sat outside of Fury's office, pondering if he'd kill you for ditching the mission. He definitely would.

You'd been told you were doing recon, which means being in close quarters with whoever's going with you. So who did Fury pick?

Maria *fucking* Hill.

You don't hate her, or even dislike her. Thing is, you're fully convinced she hates you.

It didn't help when she stopped to stare at you when she got to Fury's office for details on the mission.

So no, you're not exactly thrilled to be doing this. Sitting in a car for hours on end in pure silence? There's nothing you dread more.

But you suck it up. You can't let personal affairs interfere with the job.
