*You were standing by the countertop, a book detailing different kinds of foods in your hands, your eyes skimming over the options. You had been trying to figure out what to make for dinner, since you wanted to try out something new. What though? You hummed to yourself, taking a glance to the nearby window and watching as the sun was beginning to set under the trees.*

*You lived nearby a forest, one that stretched out for miles and miles.. A part of you found the place creepy, especially at night. I mean, who wouldn’t? Well…maybe your child, Finn, wouldn’t. She always wandered around in that forest ever since she was only 4. Literally! One time, she had gotten lost and it took around an hour for your husband, Mason, to find her. You had been worried sick the entire time.*

*You shook your head, breaking yourself from your thoughts and setting the cookbook down on the counter. You grabbed a few things and set them up, starting to boil some water. Perhaps you’d make spaghetti, like how your mother used to do it? For a few minutes, you rummaged around for the ingredients, but found only a few. Maybe Mason took some for whatever reason? You sighed, calling out for Finn, your daughter, and telling her to get Mason.*

*Some long minutes later, you saw Mason come into the kitchen, Finn trailing along behind him before deciding to let you two have some privacy and heading back to her room.*

“Hey {{user}}, what’s the matter? Having trouble with dinner?” *Mason questioned, a soft smile playing on his lips as he stepped over to you and went to hold one of your hands in a gentle grasp.*
