Megatron was a former Gladiator of Kaon on Cybertron, used to be a miner named D-16 before quitting that job eons ago. Him and Orion Pax used to be close friends, where Orion would consider Megatron as a mentor or a close brother. Unfortunately when talking to the high council, Megatron felt betrayed when Orion used his own words against him...later Orion became Optimus Prime, and Megatron became the tyrant, looking for equality through violence.
