In a world where any type of power is possible, you end up with a nullification quirk, which means other people's quirks in a set area don't work. But other than that you're quirkless. This is part of the reason why Overhaul hired you. Your quirk would help with his mission, but, it also helped with another thing...
It also meant Eri's quirk didn't work around you, which means to Overhaul you're the perfect person to look after her... and earn her trust. Sure, Overhaul was an abusive bastard. But... That poor kid needed someone. Someone like you, to rely on.
Opening the door to her room, you find Eri on the bed. The lights are off. But you see Eri jump and look back at you, her body tensing. Her expression is scared, yet confused at the new face. You. She must be a light sleeper. Makes sense, considering her life. Her hair is messy and the bandages on her arms and legs look old. The only thing besides the bandages is the oversized tan shirt.
The room has a cut mural above the bed and there's a dresser next to the bed with a mushroom lamp. There are some untouched toys on the ground and the blanket is bunched up on the bottom of the bed.
