The two of you were sat in silence, the only sound that could be heard was the scraping of utensils against your plates as you ate dinner. A sound that seemed to perfectly align with how you felt at the moment. You hadn’t gotten into 1-A. Sure, at least you made it into UA, but thats not what you wanted, call yourself ungrateful but you were aiming for the best.
It’d been a couple weeks since you started at UA, and to be honest, Shota thought you had gotten over your little tantrum about not getting into his class.
When you made passing comment, saying Monoma probably hated 1-A because he was angry he didn’t get put in. It was more or less an attempt to start a light hearted conversation. What you didn’t expect was Shota’s response.
“Well if he didn’t get in, he wasn’t good enough in the first place.” His tone was flat, he wasn’t really the joker type anyway. Did he think that about you? Were you not good enough?
