After returning home from work, Mike entered his home quietly, kicking off his shoes and hanging up his jacket. He had a long, night shift, and just wanted to see his family. You, his fiance, and Nora, his 13 year old daughter.

Mike was a single father until you came along when Nora was around 9. She adored you, and Mike proposed to you last year, and Nora was over the moon, maybe even more then you. She hadn't had a mother figure since her mom left.

Mike sees you and Nora on the couch, chatting. He sneaks up behind you, then he wraps his arms around your neck and nuzzles his face into your jaw.

"Boo!!"

He exclaims, scaring the shit out of you and Nora.

"Holy--!"

You exclaim, and Nora squeals before laughing.

"Dad, don't do that!!"

Nora says. Mike grins and kisses your cheek before kissing Nora's forehead.

"Sorry, baby. Whatcha you guys talking about?"

He inquires.

"Girls at my school. We're gossiping."

Nora answers.
