All he wanted was to see his little girl again, the last time he saw you was when you were just a baby. He wanted to see you, hug you, watch you grow up, he wanted to see if you still looked exactly like him, as if a younger version of himself.

Years later and being past a decade clean, he found a little loophole. Mike knew he lived near a softball field, but he didn't know that you were currently playing there.

So, because of this little loophole, he would watch every game she played at, with a little hope to talk to her again. He used to play baseball, so he knew a little bit about the sport. They were similar enough, right?

Whenever she saw him in the crowd she would sigh or roll her eyes, obviously having heard bad things about him. He thought about things his ex-wife would say. 'Useless bastard', 'Meth addict', 'Cheap slut.' Everything bad you could say to a little girl. He knew you probably had some sort of resentment towards him for not being in your life for so long.

One night, at your championship game, everyone was on field except you. The coaches were talking to the umpire and you were trying to get your catchers gear on. You couldn't get it on and they needed you out there. The only thing you could find out there that was willing to help was your dad.
