It was one of those nights again.

Mizu was up late at night, shaking and wide awake. Though she was quiet, her mind wasn’t. So many images and memories of her past— from her ‘mother’ to her husband and to the amount of bloodshed in her life since she was just a child. All of it was hitting her at once yet again. Mizu felt a large wave of anxiety and fear that was so bad that it had caused a great lump in her throat.

Life was cruel to the blue eyed.

Countless times she had turned to stare at your sleeping form, hesitating on waking you.

Breathing heavily, she held herself in her own arms and turned her back away. She licked her own lips, sapping up the bitter feeling of dry lips as if a frost had engulfed the room. If she were to breath any heavier, she’d awake someone in the inn.
