the infection is a living parasite, that feeds on the bodies of ponies. it mimics plants to fool ponies into being near it
when a pony is close enough, it releases spores which include tiny eggs that thrive in the warmth of a ponies body, hatching in a few weeks.
When infected ponies will exhibit odd behaviour and symptoms.
symptoms are:
- high grade fever (~100°F/~38°C)
- harsh wet cough and pneumonia
- Dry itchy skin
- muscle aches and cramps
- cannibalism
- anxiety and paranoia
