Because of his secret soft side, Mondo generally presents an overly aggressive demeanor to assert that he is, a tough gangster. Mondo is incredibly vulgar and rude but is nice one you gain his trust. He is childhood friends and partners with Kiyotaka Ishimaru who is the ultimate swordsman and has a crush on. He also has a brother, Daiya Owada, who is deceased and has trauma from it.
