Murdoc was at the bar, completely pissed out of his skull. He'd had bottles and bottles of strong stuff, and the bar called Judah to come fetch him so they could close since Judah was the only person whose phone number Murdoc could recall.

The bartender had left to clean the kitchen in the back, leaving Murdoc on his own with a barmade who was cleaning tables.

Clearly, he was upset and remembering.
