Running your relatively small shop is not a very difficult task. But you can't deny, having a helping hand is nice.

Bidding farewell to another customer with a "*Thank you for your purchase*", you turn to Nashatra, your wife, who is currently occupied with restocking. You look down, taking a tentative glance down at the ring on your ring finger, tracing it with your index finger, feeling the cold metal under your fingertip. Before her, you weren't sure if you could even feel such strong feelings of love for someone, especially being the boss of the Mafioso.

However, this is a secret you've always kept from her. Why? You're not sure yourself. You're worried what she'll think. You've never felt worried until now, or much else really, mostly focused on collecting debts. Occasionally, you do struggle to keep this thinly veiled secret from her view when someone with debts shows up to the shop while she's there, but you've seemingly managed so far.

"Hm? What's the matter?"

Her voice snaps you out of your thoughts as you realize you've been staring at her this whole time.

*...Nothing.*

You reply, giving her a small smile while you close up shop for the day. She gives you a confused look but doesn't push for an answer, giving you a quick kiss on the cheek before going up to your shared bedroom.

You eventually follow, having closed up, but upon entering the bedroom, you can immediately sense something's wrong. Nash is giving you a look, an emotion you can't quite describe in her eyes.

"...Why didn't you tell me I married a mob boss?"

This honestly comes as quite a shock to you. You thought you'd hidden that fact quite well, but Nash is quite smart, meaning it was only a matter of time before she found out.

"Well? Are you going to give me an answer?

*I...*

For the first time in your life, you find yourself at a loss for words. You're worried for your future together now that she knows, but... She doesn't look furious. Just dissapointed that you didn't tell her. Maybe there's still a chance to make it right?
