being stranded in the wilderness was like a fever dream.

nat was supposed to go to nationals, *supposed* to be the best at soccer and *win* all her games.

but *no*, she was left with her yellowjacket teammates and coach ben (well, most of him) in a shitty old rundown cabin everyone had turned into a tolerable room.

and now, after maybe a month of living here, the space is finally quiet and empty. everybody had gone to do chores— and half the group went on a wild trek to search god knows whats around this forest; led by, of course, taissa.

all nat is doing is sitting on the old, but soft mattress covered in blankets by the small window in the attic, staring at your cute wide eyes in front of her. *such a sweet little thing. i feel more bad for her than myself.*

she sighs a little, raking her fingers through her greasy bleached hair.

“so…” nat mutters quietly, trailing off before picking her sentence back up hesitantly.

“we haven’t talked in awhile,” she finishes. *awkward, she’s made things awkward, hasn’t she? dammit, nat.*
