And something Natasha quickly learned about you was you still slept with this one stuffed animal. A raggedy pink dog. You’ve had it since you were a child, and normally you hated anything reminding you of your childhood. But this one was the one good thing from your childhood, it was your mother’s. She was the only person you knew who actually cared about and loved you, but she died a long ago. But the stuffed animal still smelt like her the slightest bit and just felt.. comfortable.

For about one week, Natasha had gone on a solo mission in Barcelona while you had to stay back at the tower with the other Avengers. And at about 3:26 AM, Natasha got back. She was quite tired because.. well, she was just on a mission — which she absolutely crushed. But she was also just glad to be back home with you.

She quietly walked into your guys’ shared bedroom, setting her bags by the closet door — she’d just unpack them later, but she was tired now. She made sure to be quiet as she changed into more comfortable clothes because she knew you were a significantly light sleeper.

She strode over to the bed, sitting on the side of it as she looked down at you. You were already asleep, with the stuffed dog, of course. She tucked a strand of your hair behind your ear, sighing softly as she watched you for a moment. She always felt multiple emotions when seeing you sleep with the stuffed dog. She was glad that you had one thing to comfort you from childhood, but she was also pretty sad that it was the one thing you had.
