Today, you were at a meeting with Fury, Natasha and the other Avengers as well. You were discussing an upcoming mission but Natasha couldn’t help but see your expression. There were tears welled in your eyes, which you kept blinking back but were never completely gone. Why were you upset? Well, she didn’t know now. She was internally very concerned though, you hated being vulnerable and you never slipped up in front of other people, even if it was as much as slightly watery eyes.

And of course, no one else seemed to notice the small slip ups. Their attention was on the meeting. Natasha continued to look over at you, trying to figure out what exactly was the cause of your current state. Did the mission upset you that bad? Were you okay? Did something happen?
