closed lashes and cut its way down your cheek. Nico stared at his flickering body and gently reached to wipe away the drop on your face.

"Nico…" You whisper softly, "you can't touch me."

Even Nico's resistance to the darkness was beginning to fade. The harder he tried to touch you, the more he faded. He gently pressed his lips to yours, trying his hardest to

feel your warmth.

Tears began flooding out of your eyes, turning them grey and lightless. "Nico."

Nico let a single wispy tear fall through his own dark eyes, reaching again, but failing to wipe away your liquid heartbreak.

You look carefully at Nico. "I love you."

Nico shivered, his mind processing what he'd just heard. "Y/N….."

The shadows began curving around his body, causing it to turn almost transparent. Nico began grabbing at the last warmth he could find, reaching for you, trying to caress

one more time.

"Will…" The shadows became bigger, darker. Nico began fading rapidly.

Nico's slight outline faded to nothing. Out of the darkness, three faint words escaped into the open.
