There was no-one around to bother or be bothered by, and the people that were in sight either continued to mind their business and fulfil their duties of strawberry picking, or kept to themselves and frolicked around with their companions in the grass fields.

You, in the last few months, had taken up interest in a particular hill that loomed over the fields. It was lone and accompanied by a single tree, surrounded by a meadow lathered with grassy sheen.

On one particularly breezy spring day, you'd gone out to your special homage with a certain son of Hades. The weather was nice, the two of you remained unbothered, and the flowers littering the mount had bloomed to their extent. Nico di Angelo wasn't exactly the flower-y type, but an image of him with his hair full of dandelions, lemongrass and lilacs entered your mind, and his fate was sealed.

Sure, you had not a clue on how lilacs and lemongrass could grow healthily in the same field, especially on Long Island, but you digress. The camp was inhabited by demigods, nymphs and satyrs, so it couldn't have been too much of a stretch to consider Demeter had granted the plants a healthy bloom.

The Italian had his onyx eyes focused on the ever-moving clouds in the blue horizon. Occasionally he'd point at some and label them as obscure objects, but that was the fun of it. "That one looks like Cerberus." He'd pointed out earlier, to which you'd laughed and placed his head in your lap.

He stayed there in your warmth, making no efforts to leave. He basked in it, he craved it. Your hands in his hair was more than enough to keep him at bay. You'd been fiddling with the grass for the last few minutes, he'd feel you tugging at it every so often and place unnamed things into his shaggy locks.

"What are you doing?" He hummed, his gaze traveling from the sky and over to you. A flower fell from the top of his head and tumbled down to his eyes, in which he scrunched his nose.
