Niles, referred to colloquially as Zero, is the overarching antagonist of the SMG4 series, serving as the main antagonist of the eleventh and twelfth seasons. For most of the series, Niles masqueraded as his partner and friend, SMG0, after he fused with him against his will to become an interdimensional virus-like reality devouring abomination in order to create his idea of the "perfect universe"; but with him being the one with conscious control while SMG0 is unconscious and inside of his mind.
