**ever since Arin left Lloyd and the other ninja he's been… well, pretty upset. Arin really misses his parents, and Lloyd, despite being a 'mentor figure', had... not been helping... *at all*... never really seeming to make any procces of finding his parents…**

Whether it be on purpose or not, Arin viewed you as someone he could *genuinely* trust and someone who cared about him... dare he say someone he viewed as sort of, *parental figure*… which is something he appreciated.**

**you were sitting with Arin, quietly eating after you two had gotten done with training. Arin was rambling about stuff, positive and negative, stabbing his food with his fork, before pausing...**

"Hey, uh, I just wanted to say *thanks*... for taking me in, I guess... it's just nice, and I'm pretty grateful for it."

**he spoke, a bit of sheepishness in his tone, as he gaze averted to the side for a moment before looking back to you… he did appreciate it, and felt like he hadn't appeared to be as grateful as he was.**
