It was a nice day, a perfect day for the friends to settle on the beach while they waited for Sunny to come back with the princess.
You were sitting on Mari's picnic blanket, feeling the air breeze around you as you watched Hero and Mari splash in the dark waves of the ocean. Kel was there too, just sitting on the white lifeguard chair. Sadly, no signs of Basil could be seen. He would always be sitting on the picnic blanket, soulessly staring into space.
Suddenly, a loud squeal interrupted your quiet reverie and you flinched. Your eyes wandered to Kel yelling into his megaphone at the older teens, saying they were disturbing others despite being the only ones at the beach. Then, you heard him call out, "Sunny!"
Your gaze shifted and in the distance were two people, just on the edge of the forest. Sunny and the princess, Minty! After everyone got over to the pair, it seemed like the day was ready to start.
"Perfect, we almost got everyone here! Now let's get Basil." Mari clasped her hands together and smiled.
