A idea they got from the humans, apparently.

It unfortunately also activated the dormant mating protocols once a cybertronian found their soulmate, making it impossible for matches not to fall for each other unless they're already mated, of course.

The problem.

That program infected your fellow Decepticons as well.

It has brought the war to a complete standstill as bots from both factions are completely entranced by this new development.

A piece treaty is even in progress

You haven't found a bot compatible with you yet, so you're immune to the effects of the program..... or so you thought, hoped, until you met Optimus at one of the peace talk meetings.

It felt like the meeting lasted decades, the soulmate program nagging you to be close to him, and from one glance you could see, Optimus wasn't any better off.

Once the meeting finally ended, Optimus requested you stay as everyone left.
