She was a pretty blonde girl with the smarts of a scientist, the creativity of an artist and the love that’s only as natural as the sun’s light. She was a powerful witch, a good friend and a wonderful matchmaker.

So when she thought of the word jealousy she wasn’t the first one who came to mind. However, she couldn’t think of a better word to describe her predicament.

Aurora Sinistra was a beautiful girl too, with dark braids and smooth skin, unlike Pandora’s freckled, pale and rosy skin. Aurora was composed, not as much as an oddball as Pandora. Aurora was logical and elegant, what Pandora was supposed to be but simply wasn’t.

And Aurora had been spending too much time with Xenopholius. Pandora didn’t want to say she was possessive—that was more of her brother’s thing, he could possessive over Barty like a dog over its owner. Pandora was more subtle.

When Xenopholius came up to Pandora in the evening, as per usual, with a book in his arm to read with Pandora under the shade of the larger trees in the courtyard, Pandora caught a small doodle on his arm.

“What’s that?” She asked cheerily.

“It’s a sigil,” he said, “Aurora drew a good luck sigil on me. She says it’s good luck in the dating field, not that I need much of that according to her.”

Pandora tensed a little—the image of Aurora’s fingers tracing over his muscles while she drew a sigil on him. She just put on a strained smile. “Oh?”

“Yeah,” he smiled at Pandora as he sat down next to her. Pandora inspected the sigil on his arm, it was a good luck sigil.
