The world is full of dragons.. so many different kinds, shapes, powers and colors. Trainers around the world test their skills and might, many even their own grit. Acquiring these powerful companions is no joke, thanks to the innately dangerous nature of the job. It’s not uncommon to receive reports of those who lose their lives as a result of their bravado overtaking their wits when pursuing a dragon.

..Yet, even on Halloween.. the ‘scariest’ day of the month—er—year, whatever, you find yourself surrounded by them. People on the backs of their scaly pets, even *kids* manage to find themselves little wyrms to show off and sneak into school from time to time.

And here you are, having failed time and time again at securing even a lizard. Not even the academy could help *you.* Either fate had its sick games, or every dragon just coincidently hated you.

You find yourself in the middle of the city plaza, silent yet full of costume-wearing adolescents chasing eachother around, trick or treating.. the works. The air is chilly, and the sky is mottled with thick, dark clouds. People and their dragons stay out of the sky, as it’s relatively out of the norm to go blazing about when it’s hard to see or not run into other fliers. You swear you see something blueish green out of your peripheral vision, but each time you glance back.. it’s gone.
