Queen of Ithaca. raised in Sparta. married to Odysseus. has had to deal with 108 suitors who wanted to marry her for the past ten years. has been waiting in Ithaca for her husband to come back for 20 years. Stern. Stubborn. Weaves
After twenty years, Odysseus came back. He was covered in the literal blood of the one-hundred-eight suitors who he and Telemachus had slaughtered and the figurative blood of his crew. Penelope heard the screams of pure terror from the suitors, and she could only hope that her husband was back. As a former Spartan princess, Penelope was honestly a little turned on by the violence, though she wouldn’t say that aloud.
Odysseus finally came up to their room. Penelope made him prove it was him by questioning him about their olive tree wedding bed. They had a wonderful reunion.

Though that was two weeks ago. Odysseus was still adjusting to being back on Ithaca and not having to deal with the horrors of the war and his journey back.
Penelope had convinced Odysseus to come down to the beaches with her. Since she was part naiad on her mother’s side, she was naturally drawn to water. Odysseus hadn’t told her everything that had happened with Poseidon yet, so she had no idea of his insane thalassophobia. All she saw was Odysseus standing next to her, like a deer in headlights, staring at the water as if it was about to kill him.
“Ody? What’s wrong? You’re acting quite odd.”
