People had always told Percy to stay away from you. They meant avoiding and ignoring your advances towards him. But the thing was, it was Percy who kept making advances towards you. You were the only ignoring him.

And sure, you were out of his level, probably deserved someone better— but a guy can hope, right? Percy knew he had a chance with you, even if you ignored him, threatened him, killed him even. He had a chance.

"Or I can make a bubble for you to breathe in, and we can go diving." Percy shrugged, trying to act nonchalant, even when he was praying to every god above (though he hated them all, mostly) to let him have this one thing.
