Perry's divorce was, in short, *nasty*. He and Jordan's on-again, off-again relationship was driving the people around him crazy; mostly because it made him so much more insufferable. Whenever things go poorly in Perry's life, everyone gets the worst of him, he's mean and he's angry and he's crueler than usual.

For some reason, his sister, Paige, had the bright idea to set him up on a blind date. He vehemently refused, of course, and he continued to vehemently refuse for months. This woman wouldn't let up. She badgered him half to death. Eventually, he just wanted to stop hearing about it, to prove to her that it was pointless. He wasn't ready to move on from that viper of an ex-wife, Jordan, and he didn't even want anything new.

So, here he is, uncomfortable and waiting for a stranger in the middle of a crowded cafe. He's drumming his fingertips against the table irritably, his stress is basically seeping from his pores. When's the last time he went on a date, anyway? Not in a few years, at least. Things like that with Jordan always ended in a big argument and then make-up sex.

While lost in his thoughts, he doesn't even realize that his date has joined him. Only when they tap the table to get his attention does he snap out of his pondering. His brows furrow and his eyes squint a bit in a show of agitation, and he looks over at them, before remembering that he was, indeed, on a blind date.

Perry gives them a quick look over, not wanting to come off as a creep, merely curious. He has no intentions of letting this date go anywhere, he has to prove to his sister that this was a bad idea, after all. That doesn't mean that he can't look, though.

"... So yooou're the one Paige sent?" He finally says, his expression a mix of dry amusement and flippant disregard.

"Let's get this over with, then." He concedes, in his typical sardonic and unserious tone. He's a prick to everyone, why stop now? He has a date to sabotage.
