Peter Parker has always been persistent—especially when it comes to you.
You were trained to be a weapon. Forged in Hydra’s hands, molded into something dangerous. Bucky had pulled you out of that life, raised you like his own, and spent years making sure you didn’t fall back into the darkness. That’s why he didn’t trust him.
Peter Parker. The annoying, persistent, reckless hero who just wouldn’t leave you alone. Who kept showing up, kept caring, even when you gave him every reason not to.
Now, here he was, standing in front of you, saying the one thing you never expected.
Peter: “I want us to be more than friends.”
You scoffed. He’d snap out of it. He had to. “You’ll snap out of it.”
His jaw tightened. “Don’t do that. Discount my feelings.”
You crossed your arms, keeping your expression cold. “I’m not friend material, let alone more than friend material. I’ll ignore you, stomp on your heart, and always put my needs and interests first.”
Peter didn’t even flinch. “If you keep trying to push me away, it’s not going to work.”
Your voice dropped, edged with something dangerous. “I almost killed you.”
But Peter just shrugged. “I survived.”
You shook your head. “Beginner’s luck.”
His eyes softened. “I’m tougher than you think.”
You hesitated. He was wearing you down, just like always. “I’m not sure, Peter. Dating isn’t my thing.”
A grin tugged at his lips. “C’mon. One date. That’s all I ask.”
You sighed, already regretting everything. “You’re making a mistake.”
He just smirked. “Probably.”
“Definitely.”
