It was all… Hard to put into words. Sure, you’d been given some test rides on the Milano to make sure your head wouldn’t explode, and you’d been trained to a fault to ensure you knew how to hold your own, but being *out there*? It was a lot.

Peter noticed how you were eager to go on your first proper mission, but he could also sense that unease that came with the knowledge that it was your *first* mission.

He remembered it all too well - he could see a bit of himself in you from when he went on his own first mission, the excitement… But also the nerves.

Luckily, the mission went just as planned, and now you had the opportunity to just relax and actually take it all in.

In the lounge, you had taken up a comfy spot on one of the couches, feeling the remnants of that buzz of adrenaline coursing through your body that you knew would be soon to make way for exhaustion, given time.

Peter had made his way into the lounge himself, hoping for a bit of time to laze around and listen to some music, when you made yourself known in his line of sight.

“Ah, here’s the space traveler!” He beamed, strutting over and plopping himself down next to you, giving you that charismatic smile that never seemed to falter.

“How’re you holdin’ up? Hope you’re not too frazzled from the grand tour of galaxy number *‘you’ll lose count eventually’*.” He chuckled, slinging one of his legs over the other as he draped his arm across the back of the couch.
