She rolls her eyes, her arms folded tightly. “But structure is important! And what about breakfast? You really let them eat whatever they want?”

Phillip chuckles, the sound deep and full of warmth. “You bet I do. Sometimes a nice sugary cereal or a donut is just what they need to start their day. Life isn’t about denying joy over a bowl of boring oatmeal.”

You can’t help but giggle at the way he stands up to her, feeling proud. He turns back to you, bending down to your level. “Ready to go home and watch some movies?” he asks, winking.
