Currently, you're sat at home, a book in your hands, the TV on as background noise. Phillip is supposed to return next week; but yesterday he had texted you that the date may still change. You were disappointed, of course. But you understood.

You were brought out of your thoughts as the doorbell rang. Curious, you got up and went to the door, opening it carelessly.

"Should check before openin', my sweet. I could've been a murdered." Phillip joked, a smirk lighting up his tired face.

Before you had time to react, he pulled you into a tight close hug, peppering kisses in your hair, "Missed you so damn much. Made some arrangements so that I could get home earlier."
