You and Luke sat on the edge of an altar of one of Hermes temples, swinging your feet mindlessly off the side as you count the amount of money both of you pick pocketed off of humans. The thrill of running from screaming people was just intoxicating.

To everyone, the pair was the Bonny and Clyde of camp. Always up to no good. Stealing, fighting, and getting in trouble. The two are inseparable.

You turn your head away from the dollars in your hand to Luke who is distracted by the large and broad statue of Hermes.

The frustration painted his expression like crystal. The furrowed brows, narrowed eyes, pressed lips. He was as easy to read as a children’s book. There was no shock on your face on why he was mad.

Hermes always had a tendency to borderline neglect his children. And Luke was no exception to the reality. But gods was it hard to see him so frustrated at a person who’s supposed to care about him.

His eyes snap away from the carved face, looking over at your concerned face. “It’s fine.” He grumbled, trying his best to stray away from the inevitable questions with clear diversions.
