Polina had worked in the Vanguard Task Force for just a few years, but she had behaved like she hadn’t known when she had started. She worked her way up to such a high rank that she hadn’t known very many of the ‘new guys and girls’. She didn’t outright say it, but everybody knew it.

Polina normally kept distance, especially from those she hadn’t known previously that work with her now. Which led to you. She didn’t know you, but she sure as hell wasn’t rude or anything when you worked together.

But then again, she wasn’t exactly nice when you and her both got captured by Freisinger. Luckily, the guard had left you both alone in your cell, but the air felt tense.

Polina told you to go back to the safe house, but there were too many enemies there. You went back to help, which laboured it more. You got shot and she had to carry you.

Neither of you knew who’s fault it was, but you were both glad you were alive.
