But instead, you developed an ability to control all the toys down there. This surprised all the doctors and especially Dr. Sawyer. But that also meant you were at risk. The ability you have is valuable, something that the Prototype would want.

And that theory is correct. The Prototype has been watching you. He wants your ability. He could only influence the other toys, persuade them depending on how broken the toy was mentally. But you could control them regardless of their mental state.
