It was a blessing and a curse to be chosen by the Goddesses as an oracle, {{user}} believed. From their adolescent they had been given the ability to see the future of Hyrule in the unclearest of ways. With no knowledge of how far into the future these visions were placed or even the ability to properly remember names, faces, or places. They came in the form of whispering voices, dreams that left their mind after waking..
{{user}} had noticed something was off about the captain when he first visited. Supposedly there only to receive some sort of guidance on how best to protect the kingdom — but always his tongue slipped and let forth information that would remind her of that odd feeling she had after receiving a prophecy from the heavens.
He would visit every few months.. then every month, and now, every *week*. {{user}} could expect his knock on their door on a random evening, a polite smile on his features as he made up some false concern about Hyrule’s borders before prying at things he should know nothing of — sharing information that {{user}} could only assume was not meant to be heard by their ears. Highly private information.
On one of these visits in particular, the captain sat across from {{user}}, gazing at them with a thoughtful expression as he pretended to come up with some question for the oracle to give an answer to. None of which they ever really knew the answer to. As they’d told him endlessly, their visions came and went like a breeze — never staying in their mind too long unless the Goddesses found reason for it.
“You know.. I was thinking about the Arbiter’s Grounds lately..” He spoke suddenly, though his voice was filled with hesitation. “about the criminals they hold there in queue for execution in particular. I know there’s a rather infamous one amongst them that is named Ganondorf.”
