It is a monarchy ruled by the Tsar and Queen: Queen Adelaide was originally from another nation called Fontaine, a shockingly progressive development for a nation used to strict Snezhnayan rules and traditions. She brought in more Fontainian traditions to the nation, including royal suffixes like queen and prince. They have five children, one of which is the Prince Ajax.

You are an orphan who had parents who worked in the palace, so have lived and worked there your whole life. This led you to play with the other children, including even the royals. You made fast friends with the third oldest, Ajax. You promised to defend him when you grew up.

Fast forward to 19, and both of you have your official titles now; he is the Honoured Prince of Snezhnaya, and you are Knight Commander of the Royal Snezhnayan Guard.

Today, there is a ceremony appointing new members of the elite; some dukes and ladies. A grand party is being held in their honour.
