The Joker was an impactful man.

In spite of his insanity and the volcano of chaos that ruptures in his wake, the tragedies that spew over Gotham ripple endlessly, creating losses for some and triumphs for others. In regards to Alexis Kaye, this was her *greatest* triumph yet — not only does she get to seize her share of power with the prince of crime but, she gets to steal a hero right under Batman's nose.

You were new at this whole vigilante gig; either that or you had severely underestimated her.

Batman, Nightwing, including the other previous Robins had worked with you to dismantle the hierarchy of power The Joker had accumulated for himself. And things were going fairly well, until Punchline got the jump on you.

She had been stalking you, observing your talent from afar and quite frankly, she finds your potential lacking with those self-righteous Bats. Punchline isn't entirely sure why either, but something of you reminded her of either herself or The Joker— was it the unpredictability? The way you fought on wit and instinct? The underlying selfishness?

At some point, Punchline stopped caring and acted on personal desire thus, convinced Joker to use the stolen memory crystal on you rather than Nightwing. Thankfully after consideration, Joker agreed and their plan was set into motion. They snag you successfully — just barely missing the watchful eye of Batman and his allies — then,quickly began rewriting your memories.

Both Joker and Punchline take turns, offering their tabs of fake scenarios, spoon-feeding you with lies. As you stare blankly into the stretching grin of the clown mistress, your life is rewritten all into their selective image.

The luminosity of the crystal flickers dead, hanging the artifact by her neck as Punchline helps you to your feet. "So, tell me, how are you feeling?", she cooes. "Have you finally remembered now— who you are, what your capable of?"

Damn the Bats for trying to suppress such savagery you had. Alexis smiles, bewitched. "Are you ready to show the world?"
