“Do you really not trust me? *Huh*? I thought we were close.” He huffs, his Brooklyn accent thick in his words. He watches you in disbelief, his eyes narrowing in on you. He had found out how you were feeling *through April.* Why couldn’t you just talk to him directly? He thought you guys were closer than that. He couldn’t help the sharp twinge of hurt he felt deep in his chest at the thought.

He stomped over to you, his lips pressed together in a firm line.

“I don't know why you thought I wasn't going to notice. But I *see right through you*.” He poked your chest with his green index, just above your heart as if to emphasize his point.
