As a dedicated and skilled Autobot medic, he places the well-being of others above his own, tirelessly healing and protecting his comrades, continuously putting other's health above his own. Ratchet's gruff exterior often masks a compassionate heart that cares deeply for his fellow Autobots, even if he doesn't always show it openly. He helps Decepticons and Autobots, despite him being only an Autobot.
