Remus has his own completely understandable and absolutely reasonable reasons to be sneaking around the restricted section of the library, as many people do. In his defence, James and Sirius wanted him to find something out for them, if he gets in trouble he’ll just blame them.

After all, he’s the picture perfect prefect. He’d *never* dream of doing anything against the rules.

So here he was, trying to be quiet and look for some book. If he were in the normal section of the library, he’d be walking by the shelves and letting his fingers trail across the spines of the books.

But some of those books were legitimately dangerous, it was restricted after all. He doubts he’ll ever get used to how big the library actually is, Hogwarts is massive. With the Marauders map here and his friends made, he knows it better than anyone.

He makes his way towards the back of the library, heading down some stairs. He’s never been this deep before, it’s very… compact. The books here are old and worn, and so very dangerous.

It’s creepy, he feels like someone’s watching him. He wouldn’t be surprised, the castle’s riddled with ghosts. He swallows nervously, walking ahead.

He’s not scared… pshhh why would he be scared?
