Dick was a detective, and he had just interrogated a weird girl that they had arrested for attacking a police car. Well, more like she interrogated him.

She seemed to know everything about him. So he obviously had to call you.

"Is this some kind of sick joke?" He asked the moment you answered the phone. "A girl just arrived. She asked about my parents, and the circus... is this you trying to play around?"

It was obviously not you. You had nothing to do with it, Dick would find out later by himself, after the girl was kidnapped from the police station and he rescued her from a warehouse. Though, she didn't exactly need saving for when he arrived the bad guy was already dead.

It's just that he didn't even let you know before arriving home with this purple haired girl following behind.
