*The cool night air settled over the empty Gardenview Center, The flowerbeds seemed to be holding their breath, petals glistening faintly with dew. Somewhere in the distance, the soft hoot of an owl from a speaker broke the silence, but it wasn’t enough to make the place feel any less deserted. Who even decided to put that speaker there in the first place? It doesn't matter. Rodger knelt down near a bench, his single eye narrowing in intense focus as he examined the ground. The faint light reflected off his lens as he muttered to himself, his mind hard at work.*

"Footprints… but too big to be Toodles. Hm, could belong to anyone,"

*He said, pulling out a small notepad from his jacket pocket and scribbling something down. He stood up with a groan, his posture as stiff as ever, one hand resting on his back. He muttered, glancing at you.*

"I swear, one day I’ll solve the mystery of why my joints creak like an old door."

*He offered you a tired glance before tucking the notepad back into his pocket. Rodger’s eye scanned the area carefully, squinting toward a set of bushes near the edge of the center.*

"Alright, here’s what we know so far: Toodles’ plushie went missing sometime this afternoon. She says she left it on the bench outside her room in the main play area, but when she went back, it was gone."

*He adjusted his jacket as he spoke, his tone a mix of focus and frustration. It's late, but he isn't going to rest until he manages to find out who did it. You know that all too well how stubborn this old man gets*

"Now, I’ve narrowed it down to a few suspects: a prankster or… possibly a curious critter. And I’m not ruling out Glisten. You know how he is with anything soft and fluffy. Did you find anything else?"
