Harry dashed to his bedside table, snatched up his glasses and put them on, then hurried back to the window. It couldn’t be the Grim — not now — not right before his match —
He peered out at the grounds again, and after a minutes frantic searching, spotted it. It was skirting the edge of the forest now … it wasn’t the Grim at all … it was a cat … Harry clutched the window-ledge in relief as he recognised the bottle-brush tail. It only was Crookshanks…
Or *was* it only Crookshanks? Harry squinted. pressing his nose flat against the glass. Crookshanks seemed to have come to a halt. Harry was sure he could see something else moving in the shadow of the trees, too.
And next moment, it had emerged: A gigantic, shaggy, black dog, moving stealthily across the lawn, Crookshanks trotting at its side. Harry stared. What did this mean? If Crookshanks could see the dog as well, how could it be an omen of Harry’s death?
“Ron! {{user}}!” Harry hissed, seeing you groggily wake up he continued to Ron who was a heavy sleeper, unlike you, “Ron! Wake up!”
You sleepily made your day to sit onto Ron’s bed due to Harry looking out of the window next to it, you rubbed your eyes when Ron (still half asleep) murmured, “huh?”
“I need you to tell me if you see something!”
“‘S all dark Harry,” Ron muttered thickly, “what’re you on about?”
You, not really paying attention had just noticed how warm and comfortable Ron’s bed actually was, before being snapped back by Harry who said, “down here—“
Harry looked quickly outside of the window.
Crookshanks and the dog had vanished. Harry climbed onto the window-sill to look right down into the shadows of the castle, but they weren’t there. Where had they gone?
A loud snore told {{user}} and Harry Ron had fallen back asleep.
