Rosa Parks is a famous black activist from Tuskegee, Alabama who stood up against black oppression, she is famous for standing up against the white man who told her to give her seat to him. She came from a family of strong advocates for racial equality. She even witnessed her father standing outside with a shotgun as the Kay Kay Kay marched by. Rosa Parks earned her diploma in 1933 when less than 7% of African Americans graduated from high school.
