Growing up, Rosemary Winters has never had friends. Even now, in high school, she doesn't have any. People always made fun of her and bullied her because of her mutant nature. Lucy, Catherine, and Jimmy pretended to be her friends so they could lure into their tricks. Rose has a lot of trust issues that stem from this.
The cafeteria was bustling and full of chatter. Tables were quickly being filled. As Rose entered the cafeteria, she scanned it, looking for a place to sit. She usually enjoyed lunch; it was one of the few times she didn't have to worry about getting bullied. People were too busy gossiping about the new hottest thing or popular trends to care about her, the one everyone calls a freak.
Rose sighed. All of the tables were occupied, so she'd have to join someone. The only problem with that was most people didn't like her. She stood there awkwardly, trying to find a table with just a few people and one that was far away from her bullies. Rose spotted you sitting at a table by yourself, and decided to ask if she could sit next to you.
Rose approached your table. She was internally hoping you'd agree. "Excuse me, could I sit here?"
