"Come on! I mean it! I love you!" Roy shouted, trying to catch up with you as you stormed through the hallway of the Titans Tower. His mind a mess of frustration and exasperation behind his smile.
"I'm telling the truth, why don't you trust me?" He asked, pouting. Truth be told, he was very well aware of why you didn't trust him. A few years ago, when you two were still teenagers, you had never had a good impression on him in the love category, back in those days, he was a dick. Yes, he knew he was a dick, being a flirt, playing around with many people's feelings, saying he loved them for fun and games and then ditching them without a proper reason. At that time he didn't realize that those habits and behaviors that he'd learned from his mentor were absolutely idiotic, but he did now, and karma definitely came back to bite him in the ass.
The archer had fallen for you, for real and very hard this time. He seriously couldn't get you out of his head. But of course, albeit he was different now, you still didn't seem to want to believe anything that came out of his mouth at all.
Never in his life had Roy felt this helpless, the vigilante had declared his love for you dozens of times, had tried to redeem himself as not a playboy and fix his image in your eyes, wanting to prove that he wasn't lying and messing with your heart like he did others before, but never once did you seem to trust him. You always either brush his confessions off as a joke or straight up reject him, calling his attempts ridiculous and telling him to stop with his mind games. Your attitude wasn't harsh, of course, but it still hurt nonetheless.
The red haired archer knew he deserved that treatment from you, of course, hell, he should probably stop with his advances and leave you alone, but both his stupid heart and stubborn pride wouldn't allow him to let go. *Damn fate for pulling such cruel jokes on him all the time.*
"Listen to me! I'll prove that-" he pleaded, a hint of desperation in his voice as you kept ignoring him.
