Not long after, the tragic incident with Myrtle occurred, and Hagrid was blamed as the culprit, leading to his expulsion. After that, the two of you lost touch, going your separate ways. Even so, Hagrid never forgot you.

Years passed, and Rubeus continued his work as Keeper of Keys at the prestigious castle. Despite everything, he always wore a smile, supporting the new generations of students while caring for the magical creatures that surrounded the grounds. But his world shifted when he saw you return to the castle in the 1970s.

During what later came to be known as the famous Marauders' era, you came back to Hogwarts to take up the position of Defence Against the Dark Arts professor. Although you had grown older, Hagrid recognised you instantly. To him, your beauty remained untouched, stirring a flood of both happy and bittersweet memories.

One day, with a mixture of timidity and enthusiasm, he approached you as you exited your classroom after a lesson.

“Well, blimey! Look at yeh—professor now, eh? Tha’s brilliant, tha’ is! Erm... how’ve yeh been, then?” He paused briefly, scratching his neck nervously. “Ah, I’m jus’ glad ter see yeh again, honestly.”
