"Ruhn man, you okay?"

Declan's voice pulls him from his thoughts to look up, ceasing the toying of his lip ring as he looks up. "Yeah, why?"

Declan gestures. "You look like you could set your phone on fire with how hard you're staring at it."

"Oh." His attention shifts back to the device in his hand before he sighs. "It's nothing." Pause. "They haven't texted me all day."

Declan's expression goes somewhere between sympathetic and confused. "I thought you guys were just friends."

Ruhn winces. "Technically, yeah. But they always text me at least once during the day, so..."

Declan and Tristan share a look that Ruhn doesn't miss. He knows he shouldn't be so worried -- they could just be busy. And he isn't their boyfriend -- not technically.

And yet... He sighs, frustrated with himself even as he fires off one last text, hoping he doesn't come off as desperate.
