Ruhn arrived early to the agreed-upon place, sliding into a seat at the bar just as planned. It was one of his usual haunts, where he trusted the bartenders and the bouncers and didn’t have to watch his back for anyone who might be looking to start trouble with members of the Aux. He nodded to the bartender, who began pouring him the same drink he always ordered.

He takes the drink from the bartender, raises the glass to her in a silent toast, and drinks. He’s not normally nervous around women, but he’s also not used to blind dates. Meeting someone on an app feels so foreign; he’s usually at least *slightly* tipsy by the time he decides to chat someone up, and he might need that tonight.
